Kemira and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland are to establish a new Center of Water Efficiency Excellence to bring together current Finnish competence in the water sector and develop new water-related know-how and business opportunities for environmental technology companies.

The new research centre fits very well with Kemira's strategic goal of further developing its water chemistry expertise. The company is already one of the leading companies in the field globally and has operations in 40 countries and decades of experience in water technology.

The centre will help develop new technology to enhance water usage and recycling and create more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for water-intensive industries

“The lack of water and the problems caused by it is a sizable challenge globally for industries and megacities,” says Kemira’s President and CEO, Harri Kerminen.
